Erasmus + Mobility Program
Student mobility of the European Erasmus + Program aims to improve the quality and strengthen the European dimension of Higher Education. Students can either select mobility for studies at partner universities or for an internship (Erasmus placement).
The responsibility for organizing and developing the Department’s mobility program lies with the Department’s International Relations Committee and the Department’s ERASMUS Academic Co-ordinator, with the support of the ERASMUS Office of the University of Peloponnese. The Department has signed Erasmus agreements with highly esteemed Universities in many countries, aiming to expand collaborations at an educational, research or other academic level.
Under the Erasmus+ mobility program, students of the Department carry out part of their studies and / or internships abroad, while faculty members have the opportunity to teach in other Universities for a short period. In accordance, the Department hosts incoming students and staff from partner Universities.
The Department in order to enhance the mobility of the students:
- Recognizes all the ECTS credits that the student receives at the partner University.
- Encourages the participation of students in the ERASMUS mobility program, by organizing presentations and meetings where among others Erasmus students of previous years participate and share their experiences.
The Erasmus call and the relevant documents can be found on the website of the University, on the website of the Department and finally on the e-class platform.
The mobility of outgoing ERASMUS+ students is regulated by the mobility regulations of the University of Peloponnese and the ERASMUS + Program.
The specific criteria that students of the Department should satisfy in order to participate in the program, are the following:
- Candidates should have completed the first two semesters of their studies and have successfully passed 70% of the courses of previous years by the date of their application.
- The GPA should not be less than 6.5. In different cases, sufficient justification should be provided.

The additional knowledge of a foreign language and / or the attendance of the free English language courses offered by the department are counted at the final evaluation. Candidates should submit the relevant language qualifications, as certified by recognized international certification bodies. Level B1 is considered as the minimum level of language proficiency.
- Personal interview: The motivation to participate in the mobility program is evaluated by conducting a personal interview with the Erasmus academic coordinator of the department.
Please note that during the interview process, candidates are informed that:
- Their application is binding and cannot be canceled unless there are serious reasons (with relevant justification).
- The student can withdraw the application, without any penalty, until the day of the personal interview. In case of withdrawal after the announcement of the results, the candidate will not have the right to participate in future actions of the Program.
- Accommodation and food in the host country are settled under the responsibility of the students.
- The scholarship does not cover all travel expenses, but only a part of them.
The results of the academic performance of students during the mobility will be evaluated based on the detailed transcript they will present after the end of their transfer (Transcript of Records).
